Federal regulations require drone pilots to be certified if the flights they undertake are for any reason other than purely recreational.
You may have heard this certificate as a “Part 107” which refers to the relevant section of Code of Federal Regulations that govern airspace use (Title 14, if you’re interested!)
This certificate demonstrates that the holder understand the regulations, operating requirements, and procedures for safely flying drones.
